Switching from nvidia to amd what steps are needed please

Hi Guys, After some guidance please. I have an asus z97 pro wifi ac with i7 4790k 32gb of ram and currently an msi gtx970. This is running perfectly on 10.13.6 everything is working from cloud to messages FaceTime and sleep. I want to upgrade to mojave. So I have bought an amd rx570 8gb to have native support going forward. What do I need to change to stop the config being for nvidia and be for amd instead please.

Too funny... I literally JUST did the same thing and placed an order for a Sapphire Pulse RX580 to replace my GTX960.
I'm hoping it's a smooth simple swap and boot.

I did exactly the same two days ago. I just needed to remove all the Nvidia-related kexts (Lilu, Whatevergreen, etc) and flags and also uninstall the webdrivers and CUDA drivers. After all that's left is to replace one card for the other and that's all.

I'm just about to swap out an Nvidia GT1050 OC to a Sapphire Pulse RX580 and then upgrade, hopefully, to Mojave. Fingers crossed.


Update: I swapped the cards over and all worked well straight out of the box. Have since removed the Nvidia and Cuda drivers. Just Mojave upgrade to do now, no waiting for NVIDIA web drivers.
