Swap Asus Prime Z370-A for Rog Strix Z370-E?

So I have an opportunity to swap my Asus Prime Z370-A for a ROG Strix Z370-e motherboard at my local computer store. These boards are very similar with the exception of some Rgb and Thunderbolt 3 headers. If I do the swap, what are the odds that my High Sierra drive will still boot? Any precautions I should take?

I would say the High Sierra should still boot after you replaced the motherboard, provided that you set all the correct BIOS options on the new motherboard.

If you are worried, I suggest making a clone of the High Sierra install to another disk before the motherboard replacement.
