Superduper bootable external drive

Hello All, I made a superduper clone to an external hard drive. I go into the startup disk, select the external, hit restart but the system restarts to the computer internal drive not the external. The external is not bootable. I tried to install (save) the Mavericks MultiBeast chimera v3.0.1 bootloader onto the external harddrive. When I hit save a window message says " An unexpected error has occurred while trying to save your configuration. Please try again." Please Help. Thank you so much! failsafe1

Boot normally. At the Chimera/Clover screen select the external drive and hit enter - it should boot.
At desktop use MultiBeast to install the boot loader just as you did for your original drive.
