So,

i got a perfecly working hackintosh laptop,

the only problem is,

it can't boot into OS when on battery, but boot and running fine when plugged to AC.

the battery & board is fine, i can tell this because i can run it on battery up to the bootloader menu. And it can stay there for hours (mean the battery is good)

only if i decide to boot into the system then it will shut down directly,

i remember previously it was fine, but it was back in 10.8.5 time,

any idea what might causing this ? Any kext error, or...

You would have to tell us more about your installation procedures.

My installation was quite straight forward,

Unibeast, continue with Multibeast + other specific kext for my notebook, like for bluetooth & elses.

i remember back in 10.9, my battery is fine. But since the old battery died, i stop using battery.

i was then already update my OS up to 10.9.5, installed it directly from App Store and fix the installation by doing permission repair & re-install some of the kext (like WiFi)

nothing is change much till today, when i tried to run my laptop on a new battery, it will just shut down directly whenever i unplug the adapter. But it will run fine in bootloader screen.

so i'm pretty sure there's some driver in my machine that won't let me run the machine using a battery.

is it possible that smbios causing this ?

i'm currently using MacPro 3,1 in smbios config. It's kinda make sense if it's the culprit, since MacPro don't have battery, LoL

Btw, my battery is detected properly in the system report & system preferences. It even show the capacity properly and also show when its discharged or charging.

Not detailed enough.

Did you implement native power management?
Did you implement correct ACPI patches?

Which kexts did you install, specifically?

Which version of OS X? From where did you download it?

Sorry for late reply,

Here's my full step by step installation back in 10.8.5 (i upgrade to 10.9.5 using combo update btw)

My spec is :

- i7 920XM 2.0Ghz (Turbo 3.2Ghz)
- 16GB 1333Mhz
- GTX 460M
- Intel SSD 160GB + Seagate Momentus XT 500GB
- Dell Bluetooth 370
- Tenda USB WiFi 802.11n --> UPDATED 1 : Now with Fully Working Airport using Atheros 9285 Half PCI-e Card, Replacing the original Intel One

What Work :
- Almost Everything ?

What doesn't work :
- Battery Sensor (never unplugged my charger, so whatever, hehehe ;b)

Tools Used & Needed :
- Latest MultiBeast Mountain Lion Edition
- UniBeast for create Lion USB Install
- Few Extra .pkg & .kext (link provided)
- External Keyboard & Mouse for 1st Boot
- Chameleon Wizard
- Kext Utility

INSTALLATION
1. Set your BIOS to Boot from USB --> Boot with GraphicsEnabler=yes flag, if u can't get past the apple logo, tried to boot with -x
2. Simply follow the installation Step

FIRST BOOT
1. On the first boot, choose to boot with the USB Install Disk
2. At the boot loader, choose to boot with your new Mountain Lion install Disk in VERBOSE MODE (type –v –f in boot loader)

AT THE DESKTOP
1. Apple has native graphics support for my GTX 460 cards so, yay!
2. Be Ready!
3. Insert your CD/USB with my extracted AlienM15.zip file in it
4. Open MultiBeast Mountain Lion
5. Select the kext for the Intel Network, FakeSMC and ITS PLUGINS, EvoReboot, ElliotForceLegacyRTC, VoodooPS2Controller and Trackpad. Apply AICPM & AppleRTC patch, (If you are using SSD like me, install TRIM Patch as well)
6. Select MacBookPro 8,1 definition
7. Install SSDT for i7 Processor (mine 920XM need this to allow the dynamic multiplier), or if you want better SSDT, try to create one using revoGirl script
8. Install
9. Run Kext Utility
10. Reboot your computer

SECOND BOOT
1. Same as FIRST BOOT

AT THE DESKTOP
1. Your Internet should now be working
2. Your webcam, microphone and DVD drive should also be working (Check FaceTime or PhotoBooth)
3. Install DellBluetoothHCl.pkg
4. Install all the kext in the folder using Kext Utility --> for VoodooHDA, u can install the latest version (2.8.4 from multibeast if you want to)
5. Install Chameleon latest revision using Chameleon wizard
6. Go to Extra and open org.chameleon.Boot
7. Set npci=0x2000, 64-bit (x86_64), kernelcache=yes and save the file in /Extra.
8. Go to S/L/E and remove AppleAUUC.Kext & AppleHDA.kext --> this kext causing Kernel Panic as it conflicting with VoodooHDA
8. Run Kext Utility
9. Remove Lion USB install disk and restart

THIRD BOOT
1. You should now boot into Chameleon.
2. Type –f –v to boot into verbose mode using the new kexts.

AT THE DESKTOP
3. Going into the desktop, check that everything is working fine.
4. Bluetooth, card reader, audio and USB should be working.

YOU SHOULD ALL SET UP, Congratz!

Looks messy.

Many unnecessary kexts, or kexts that are simply a "bad idea" (such as SleepEnabler, rollback AppleACPIPlatform, etc). No mention of proper ACPI patching.
