[success] Z77X-UD5H & i7-2600K @ 4.5Ghz 32GB GTX 660 ML 10.8.4
About this build
This was a very straightforward install with z77 and sandy bridge and wanted to share because I know there has been some confusion about building sandy bridge on a z77 platform. I went with Z77 because it has great support here (the UD5H is a great board too) and sandy bridge because there are great deals on used CPUs online (I also think the 2600k is the best of a classic series along with the conroe, p4 1.6a, P3 500E and so forth).
There were absolutely no hitches in this install and everything is humming perfectly. I just created the unibeast drive, installed osx, booted into osx for the first time with GraphicsEnabler=No, and installed multibeast as seen above.
There's another 16GB in the mail coming.
The 2600k and Z77X-UD5H were bought used on forums. The Vertex 3 and GTX 660 were carried over from an old build, the rest were new.
I plan to use this primarily for data analysis (R/python), when my lab cluster is swamped.
Update:
I'm now at 4.6ghz at 1.344-1.356v (depending on LCC). The geekbench for this is: http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench2/2269077
