hey guys,

little problem getting my audio up and running with this board. under system preferences it doesn't give me any output options (as shown in the screen shot)

i believe i need to be on 889, but i'm not savvy enough to understand how to get it from the 885 that it's currently running. i've run multibeast a few times and selected the 889, and system utilities, but beyond that i'm pretty helpless being a noob to all this. i've searched the forums and haven't found a solution that works for me. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 Audio Issues

thanks for that link! i will try that, but how do i get rid of what i've already "installed" via multibeast. or do i just move on and not worry about what's already been checked and stuff? that's worded awfully, sorry if it's confusing - i'm just wondering if there's something i need to delete or run before moving forward with those steps on that link

Re: GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 Audio Issues

Depends on what you have already installed.
If you have installed voodooHDA, then remove it before install ALC8XXHDA.

My advise is to copy and backup the followings:
/Extra (everything under /Extra)
/System/Library/Extensions (all kexts under that directory)

follow that link because it is the same board, so you are to focus on the following things.

-Ethernet (you might have this running successfully already)
-Audio
