If you're looking for a super simple build, you've come to the right place. I have been lurking the forums for a few years and decided to do a build that would be fairly cheap and easy. I was able to build this Hackintosh for roughly $400 with used parts, and it was extremely easy. If you follow these steps, you'll have everything working right away. Since the RX560, Bluetooth dongle, and network card all work out of the box, this is a guide just for the motherboard and CPU configuration. If you decide to add the RX560, Bluetooth, and WiFi, it will require no modifications. This overall build takes less than an hour once you have everything built and downloaded, and 30 minutes of that time is just the macOS installation where you have to do nothing..

The Installation

1. Hold delete as you boot the computer to modify the following BIOS settings:
SATA mode: AHCI
OS Selection: Other OS
Disable VT-D

2. Follow steps 1, 2, and 4 from UniBeast: Install macOS Mojave on Any Supported Intel-based PC. Trust me, it's really easy.

3. When the install is done and you're all logged in, open MultiBeast on your fresh install (it should be on your USB if you followed the last step) and make the following changes:
Quick Start > UEFI Boot Mode
Drivers > Audio > AppleALC
Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > ALC892
Drivers > Disk > 3rd Party SATA
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC Plugins
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC HW Monitor Application
Drivers > Misc > NullCPUPowerManagement
Drivers > Network > Realtek > RealtekRTL8111 v2.2.2
Drivers > USB > 3rd Party USB 3.0
Drivers > USB > 7/8/9 Series USB Support
Bootloaders > Clover UEFI Boot Mode
Customize > System Definitions > iMac > iMac 14,2

Then go to Build and Install. If you get an error, just go to System Preferences and change your date to the correct date and try again.

4. Reboot, unplug your USB, and you're done!

What Works

Everything!
At least everything I tested.
- All ports
- Airdrop (Must have Network Card)
- Bluetooth
- App Store
- iCloud

If you're looking for a simple build and you're worried about messing things up, you can't go wrong with this build!

Questions
Will upgrading the graphics card to a RX Vega require any modifications to what I have already?

Thank you. Can I use the built in Ethernet and graphics card (HDMI)?

Yes built in Ethernet works perfectly and HDMI works via HD4600 as well. I actually built this first without the WiFi and graphics card.
Great. Sleep/wake works too?

Ok I gave it a shot today, created the usb and I’m getting a “missing operating system” when trying to boot into it.

Edit: looks like my usb is formatted as mbr. Gonna be at least two weeks before I get access to a Mac to re-create the usb. Is there a way to boot an mbr usb install?

Edit 2: managed to create a usb via windows. I’ve installed Mac OS and multi beast with the recommended settings. One problem though: the App Store freezes my pc whenever I open it.

I have the same motherboard and similar CPU. I cannot get my flash drive to boot. It is not clear what method you used in UniBeast - uefi or legacy, so tried both. I did change the boot mode in bios to both UEFI or Legacy for each build. One of the big unknowns (I tried to research this) is I do not have a dedicated flash drive so I used a 32GB SDHD card plugged into a SD card reader stick. I otherwise followed the UniBeast directions. I go to boot from mass storage or it has the name of my SD card reader identified, and I am unable to boot to get to the Clover screen, which is next step. It just asks for a boot drive. I tried the 3.0 and 2.- USB ports (not clear which you used). I am not sure what else to try - I am stuck. Any suggestions?

hi you don't need nullcpupowermanagement.kext, as your processor supports native power management. you can delete it manually and repair permissions via kext utility and reboot

Was that meant for me? I am stuck at my Unibeast not working. Not sure how to do anything with my usb device because I don’t have a Mac handy to get into any of the programs.

UPDATE: you need to create a GUID partition, and I got the boot drive to work with Legacy Boot options. But, at Clover, when I click on boot from install Mac OS Mojave, it starts, and then after 5 seconds the power is cut from my USB for both the keyboard and boot drive. Nothing else happens. Frustrating how there is so much variability you think this would be easy. Now I have to figure out where to go next- I played with BIOS settings even though I did not need to change any BIOS settings per this build guide.
