Still need a fix for my video card ( ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro (PCI-e, 512MB)) it only shows one resoulution. Shows the correct card but nothing under display.

Good work! Glad it worked out for you- not too many with the Asrock boards here- maybe you could post some of your steps if there were any differences. :mrgreen:

@RayMacx64 Yes please post how you did it! I am building a new computer using that motherboard.

First of all, thank you tonymacx86 for creating such a detailed installation guide and providing us with all the necessary tools that we need. I followed your guide to the letter.

My video card worked it just did not have all the resolutions available for my display until I added my card id to the ati controller kext. I am looking to upgrade my video card also at the moment because QE/CI is not supported with it. Still have not got around to trying to fix the on-board sound since i have my Audigy 2 card working. I currently have a triple boot at the moment of 10.6.2, 10.5.8, Windows 7.

HankFranK I did change the bios to AHCI from IDE and enabled the HPET table. Be aware if you use the same cooler & ram combination that I did, it will block the 1st ram slot. The G.SKILL Ripjaws are just to tall, you would need a lower profile ram. If you run into any problems post them and I will see if I can help, I check this board every couple of days.

What Chameleon Boot CD did you use?

I used tonymacx86-P55BootCD.iso
Just follow the link in my last post.

What source disk did you use?
I already have a older Mac so I bought the upgrade version.

Are you dual booting?
Yes I have Windows 7 and Snow Leopard on one hard drive and 10.5.8 on another drive

did that create any extra problems?
Yes quite a few, I would make sure you have Snow leopard the way you want it before you install Windows. I tried to install Chameleon on the EFI partition and never could get it to work. When I went and reinstalled Snow Leopard it hosed my Windows 7 installation. :oops:

I just purchased a Sapphire 4850 ati graphics card and will be installing it soon. I will let you know if i have any problems later on in the week.

@RayMacx64
Hey can you give a detailed explanation of how you got the install to fully work? The CD you used didn't work for me. I have a post on the ASRock P55 Extreme over here viewtopic.php?f=7&t=328

The reboot is caused by your system not being able to load the Vanilla kernel in 10.6. Reboot using the Boot CD, choose your drive. When you get to the desktop, run MultiBeast and choose EasyBeast 10.6 + Disk Utilites. Then reboot and report back. :)
