My first Hackintosh build. Was hoping for the best and expecting the worst. Followed the Yosemite Clover install here, step by step, to a tee: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-guides/144426-how-install-os-x-yosemite-using-clover.html
Prepared the USB drive, and was pleasantly surprised that it booted into the USB without going through BIOS. Was even more shocked when the install screen came up. Formatted the internal drive, installed Yosemite, waited for it to boot up again, install the recovery partition, restarted one more time and was floored when the setup menu came up. Entered all my usual info and was presented with the Yosemite log-in screen.

Ethernet wasn't working, so I downloaded the AtherosE2200 Kext from another site.

Also had the video being outputted through HDMI to the Vizio in the bedroom, so downloaded the HDMI Kext from here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hdmi-audio/145399-clover-hdmi-audio-nvidia-amd-cards-easy-way.html

Everything seems to run pretty smooth right now, haven't tested the on-board audio connectors yet.

The only thing I "deviated" from the install, was I selected all the UEFI settings in Clover rather than Legacy, and I disabled the Legacy/UEFI in BIOS to UEFI boot only. After reading all the post on the forums and from friends with experience building Hackintoshes in the past, I was apprehensive...But with the help of the community and TonyMacX86 install guide, this whole thing couldn't have been more smooth. In fact, I had more hurdles to cross when installing Yosemite on my 2011.5 Mac Mini (upgraded from Mavericsk, later clean installed) and 2014 MacBook Pro Retina (also upgraded from Mavericks).

[edit] The on-board display shows CPU temp between 20-29ºC when idle. When running GeekBench 3.0, it got up to 40ºC with the Corsair Hydro H105 series liquid CPU cooler. Compare to my Mac MINI, which has the discrete graphics and dual-core i5, which idles at 55-60ºC and when doing Handbrake can at times reach 80ºC+ consistently, I'm quite happy with the result.

Once the better quality RAM, the 32GB worth of Crucial Ballistix Sport arrives, instead of the 4GB generic Acer RAM I bogard from another desktop at home, I'll tinker a little with the OC settings in BIOS.

[edit2] Added a 80GB Intel SSD from an older laptop (Lenovo) and tried installing Windows 8.1 on it. It should have been obvious, but hindsight being 20/20...

Yosemite will not boot into [Legacy + UEFI] mode in BIOS. Will only be recognized in [UEFI] only when booted. Unfortunately I had already installed Windows 8.1 in Legacy (stupid) and quickly realized that I can't swap between the two OS unless I swap it in BIOS. 3 hours down the drain. Will attempt to install Windows 8.1 in UEFI only so I can seamlessly swap between the two OS without going into BIOS to switch to Legacy mode.

You can always update your build description with this information instead adding it in another post; this is better for first time readers and will eliminate confusion.
