I choose these components to build a computer ready to game (FPS like BF4, why I choose a GTX 760) and available to program software and create website on Mac OS X (reason why I took a 2540x1440 resolution screen). I choose the Urban S71 for the design, the space inside it, the dust filter and the three fan that are already inside it. The default of this case I think is the noise (acceptable but it would be better if it was lower). I added Cool Master hyper 212 EVO because in game my CPU climbed to 70°C. I haven't test for now the heating with the new cooler. Last thing to say about component choice is about the Corsair CX500M. It's a very good alm but for the future, I will maybe miss of connection. I already use every connection for non SATA component (the one use for IDE component). The fan of the tower are directly connected to the tower and use a few of these connection.

Installation Notes

I followed the tonymacx86 guide: UniBeast: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-based PC

- I directly installed the graphic card and use it for installation (no problem) for me.

- I connect my SSD to SATA 0 and partition the drive in two. Don't forget to partition harddrive in mode in GUID mode(advance button on the partition creation interface).

- I installed MultiBeast (last version for Mavericks). From this application, I installed Easybeast what was i think an error because after the reboot, i don't have Lan drivers and sound (what was working before). Then I choose manually the LAN & Sounds drivers corresponding to my motherboard in MultiBeast.

- I also installed FakeSMC for hardware monitoring and the last version of the Chimera Boot Loader. After a restart all was working fine.

- I had to activate the X.M.P (Extreme Memory Profile) -> "Profile 1" (in the bios) to get my memory at 2400mhz.

- iMessage impossible to activate is now solved !! I found the solution here !!

Problems (pending for resolution)

- Sometimes when i start the computer, I have no network. I restart and all is ok (i never had it before and never got it on Windows 8.1).

Hello, I have almost the same hardware. Did you installed Windows 8.1 on the same disk with Maverick in another partition or directly in another disk?

I installed Windows 8.1 on the same drive in another partition. First I created the partition with Mac OSX tool, after i installed Windows 8.1 and finally i installed Maverick.

but for me it doesn't work
i only can do the installation in save mode, i also only can start the pc in safe mode after installation -.-
which bios do you have?
