Comments

Not working:
- Quartz Extreme on Intel HD 2000
- VGA out

Working:
- ALC892 sound
- USB 3.0 (with a USB 2.0 drive, haven't tried a USB 3.0 drive as I don't own one)
- 1920x1080 resolution on DVI-D

Install notes:
1) Install using UniBeast Mountain Lion, using -f or -x may be necessary to get things working, don't forget setting SATA to ACHI in BIOS
2) Do not use the VGA port on the motherboard, it'll only boot when using the DVI port, haven't checked HDMI
3) If you're having trouble booting back into your freshly installed Mountain Lion partition, use UniBeast to boot into OS X. Hit F8 when booting, select your USB drive, then select Macintosh HD and boot with '-x'.
4) Install MultiBeast, check DSDT-les, ALC892 without DSDT and the 3rd party USB drivers (ASMedia). Create the folder 'Extra' in your root directory, and copy SMbios.plist and org.chameleon.Boot.plist there. http://cl.ly/0b3y3X0H3s3w
5) Install Chimera, Chameleon will not work. This will also fix the need for your UniBeast USB drive to boot into your partition. After installing Chimera, you can remove the UniBeast drive. After installing, copy the downloaded com.chameleon.Boot.plist again to your Extra folder, overwriting the existing file.
6) When you're back into Mountain Lion, remove all AppleIntel… kexts in /System/Library/Extensions. That's right, all kexts that start with AppleIntel. Don't worry, use Kext Wizard to add all the kexts from the zip file and repair permissions and rebuild the caches, this might take a while. http://cl.ly/3a46363X0h0g
7) You're done, if everything went well. Remember, if you can't boot into Mountain Lion, use the UniBeast drive and boot using '-x'. Installing Chimera will fix this, but you still need to use safe mode to boot into Mountain Lion until you've installed the HD 2000 kexts.
8) Run Geekbench, this install should get you around 6850 points. Happy hackintoshing!

Hi,

I've got a similar barebone system to yours. Specifically a V8-P8H67E with a i7-3770 Ivy Bridge CPU (HD4000 GPU) and Bios version 3606. I'm having difficulty with post-installation using MultiBeast. I've tried following your steps but get a kernel panic after step 5 on reboot.

I'm a bit of a newb with regards to Hackintoshing. Are there any implied steps I'm missing out? In your instructions, you don't seem to be using custom DSDT for the motherboard? Or have you just left out the obvious steps?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alex
