BIOS version F10 configuration from the 10.6 installation guide, the operating system is running from the SSD with multibeast configuration as listed below.

UserDSDT (from tonymac)
Audio Realtek ALC899 With DSDT
Network Realtek AppleRTL8169Ethernet 2.0.6
SSDT Sandy Bridge Core i7

Thanks to tonymacx86 & MacMan!

No card built-in the motherboard (i have firewire 400 & 800 one of each)

Are you certain the usb3 is working? I have not seen anyone getting that working with the ud5 board. Could you explain how you did it and how you know it is working in usb3 mode.

Thanks

same here. i couldn't get USB 3 devices to connect.

enosha1, Impressive build! I'm looking to upgrade to an i7 like yours. Did you have any audio popping issue like the GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 has?

I can connect USB3 disk the WD My Passport 0730 Media (i dont think the speed is working and its take 50 sec until the computer knows)
I had a problem with sound strange noises after I installed the ALC889 sound working

Hi enosha,

Is 6gb sata work for you?

The included firewire work with no problem?

Thanks.

I have the same build:

Z68X-UD5-B3 at F7 update
Installed only 1 stick of 4 GB of RAM (Vengence Blue)
i7-2600k

But I have 120GB SSD that I'm trying to dual-boot Windows 7 and Lion on it. But I'm first putting my Snow Leopard CD in and can't even get THAT working...

I'm at day 10 of trying to male this work.

After instal, I added all the same MultiBeast options as you did. But I'm still unable to boot without iBoot... What did you do differently? It just freezes at the Apple logo screen. When I try to update to comboUpdate 1.6.8, it installs well, but then I try to install MultiBeast before restate and then I have grey curtans -_- then I reformat the drive and start from scratch using different menthods.

Any ideas guys? Is installing Lion on its own just easier? Can't purchase Lion yet because my wifi doesn't work on 10.6.3 and I'm too broke to buy the 70$ USB and wait for a TonyMac update on how to install with USB....

Thanks in advance everyone.
