Installed via UniBeast 8.3.2 and native 10.13.4 installer via App Store. Used MultiBeast with the following options. Upgraded to Mojave using the App Store Installers with updates to Clover 4798.
Switched from a NVidia GTX 1060 to an RX 580 due to lack of proper NVidia drivers in 10.14.
Had some coil whine with the RX 580, swapped the power supply out for a Seasonic Prime 650 Watt Gold. This also meant removing the last of the internal 3.5" bays to fit the connectors in, which while it means I can't use any 3.5" drives, increases airflow inside the case. At idle temperatures 37C on all cores.
Required using the NoVPA.jpeg kernel extension to get JPEG previews in Finder working properly. This also requires a newer version of Lilu.kext than I had, required updating from 1.2.3 to 1.2.8.
Only major issue I had wasn't one with the installation, but rather running into an Apple limitation. Since Apple has no machines that support 4k@60 Hz over HDMI, it's not natively detected or supported in the OS. When I first booted after installing the nVidia driver packages, I would boot to a black screen, but was still able to connect via SSH or remote desktop. Eventually I hooked up another monitor and realized that it wasn't a driver issue but a problem with the monitor. After buying an active DisplayPort > HDMI adapter, this allowed full 4k@60 Hz. Native DisplayPort should also work.
Replaced the Intel wireless card with a 6XRYC DW1560 from eBay.
Much thanks to Asher on ##hackintosh Freenode IRC channel for poking at it with me for the last few days.
Attaching my EFI and my L/E folders for reference for others.
Summary
What Works
Full Video Acceleration (4k@60 Hz. Please note you can only get this resolution either over native DisplayPort or via an active Displayport to HDMI adapter. 4k@30 Hz does work over HDMI)
Onboard Audio
Onboard Ethernet
Wifi
Bluetooth (via USB dongle)
8 USB Ports (Don't know if the USB-C port works, don't have any cables/devices)
Sleep, Wake, Soft Power Off
iMessage, Wi-Fi Calling, Airdrop, Handoff
What Doesn't Work
Onboard Bluetooth (Detected but does not work, shows no MAC address. Should work, may just be my install)
