That's my first hackintosh build. And everything went pretty well !
After 2 weeks, I can safely say that stability is great, not bugs, everything is working.
I used the guides of tonymac for creating the UniBeast USB key.

BIOS Settings :

- Load the default settings
- Disable VT-d
- Set xHCI Auto mode
- Disable Intel Processor Graphic ( if not : slow boot time )
- Activate xHCI Hand-Off
- Activate EHCI Hand-Off
- Set the config. SATA AHCI
- Set the Memory mode to "More stability" ( if not : random freezes )

Concerning the install :

I removed 1 of the 2 memory sticks and successfully booted and installed using following boot parameters:

PHP:
boot with -x GraphicsEnabler=No -no-zp

I went through the installation quite easily, but had the "deadbeef" kernel panic.
That's why the "-no-zp" parameter.
On first reboot, I stumbled upon iCloud keychain, rainbow wheel turning indefinitely.
Solved this issue by rebooting and removing the ethernet cable.
Everything went well, my 1440p display perfectly working over the GTX 770 over HDMI.
Sleep & wakes works, sound, Ethernet, graphics acceleration, no issue to be seen.

MultiBeast for Yosemite v7.1.1 settings :

Quick Start> DSDT Free
Drivers> Audio> Realtek ALCxxx> ALC1150
Drivers> Misc> FakeSMC Plugins
Drivers> Misc> FakeSMC HWMonitor Application
Drivers> Intel> AppleIntelE1000e v3.1.0
Drivers> System> AppleRTC Patch for CMOS Reset

I seen where some people decided to install using the intel graphics during install then switched to the graphics card there after, could you have done the install that way? Some people did it I'm guessing as a failsafe in case the graphics card went bad or something. I could be wrong, as I'm still in the process of getting my parts, but yeah...

Thanks, I disabled "Intel Processor Graphic" and now my system starts in 30 seconds (previously 55 seconds).

First post, but I've been loitering for a while...

Just to clarify - this combination of hardware would work with just Intel graphics via the processor and no GFX card?

Have you had any problem with quicktime or iMessage?

Desperate for help with my install, I've been running into errors. Same exact mobo but running an i7-4790K and Gigabyte R9-280x which should work out of the box. Technically, I should be able to follow your exact steps to success right?

Hi, I have the same mobo and I managed to finish the installation of Yosemite 10.10.3. Everything works fine except for an issue with the audio: after sleep, the audio from the earphones works fine but after a while it doesn't anymore. I can fix it by going in audio settings, changing the audio output and changing it back, but after a while it breaks agains.
I tried to apply the solution here No sound after sleep - ALC892 - Yosemite + Clover but it doesn't work.
Also, the audio is working only from earphones and from HDMI, not from the mobo outputs.
So my question is: do you have any trouble with the audio or is it working perfectly?
Thank you

Dear all,

I have the same mobo (GA-Z97-d3h) and CPU (i7 4790 -3.6 Ghz), i can install Yosemite 10.10.3 with -x boot option. I can only boot into pc with -x. Normal boot with -v show that

- waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out
IOPlatformPluginUtil : getCPUIDInfo: this is an unknown CPU model 0x3c

I have Bios setting as instructed in post #1, and MultiBeast build as well, but no luck.

Thank you for helping.

same problem with getCPUIDInfo: this is an unknown CPU model 0x3c

UPD: I remove one Ram slot and GTX960 and boot doesn't hangs on this record(but it still there)
