I decided to build this system to replace my aging 2010 Macbook Pro 15" i5 - 2.4ghz as a workstation. I'm primarily using it for very light gaming (Starcraft II, Diablo III) and as a hobbyist musician, recording tracks into Garageband using my Scarlett 2i2 and Guitar Rig Pro 5. This system honestly has a ton of power for what I'm actually using it for and I feel absolutely spoiled using it.
The Fractal Design case is pretty slick for the price I paid for it, however, the included fan is a bit noisy, but for the money saved I can live with it. The system has been rock solid stable for the last week.
Lastly I have to say a big thanks to the community for all the forum posts I read that got my started and finished on this path.
