Alright I have had a lot of problems with Q/E with my mobo but I have finally found the solution!!!!!! You need: DS3H, Intel Ivy Bridge 'k' Series, ML, Muiltibeast. NO CHIMERA.

1) Install ML off my USB and installs. Boots up with 768 resolution and ethernet works out of box. No audio or QE.

2) Download Muilti-Beast. I have to change the system setting to allow everything aka internet apps because now ML wants developer approved only apps.

3) Open muilti-beast and run these settings:::::: See first two screen shots. ONLY those settings. Nothing more nothing less. Apply, install, enter password, complete.

Next, MB has now created the Extra folder with the boot.chameleon.plist. Go there. Copy this code to the bottom. Not the very bottom. Look at the screenshot titled plist.

Code:
<key>device-properties</key>
<string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000005006201140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string>

So, now your plist file should look like this:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">

<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel</key>

<key>UseKernelCache</key>

<key>device-properties</key>

</dict>
</plist>

Save it and close it.

Shut down - NOT restart. Shut down.

4) Now turn on your computer and enter BIOS.

5) Within BIOS ensure you are already on F6 (which you should be). Next ensure that your DVMT is at MAX. Now change your "Internal Graphics Memory Size" to 32MB.
Save and close.

6) Next, hit F12 to enter boot up options. Boot off the USB drive you just installed ML from. (The USB drive you ran unibeast on)

7) When you see the Chimera boot screen select the Mountain Lion HDD. Not the USB, the ML HDD you just put ML on. I suggest verbose boot-up.

Now it should boot up fine. No problemos? Good.

8) Next thing. Now your ethernet doesnt work. Go back to muitibeast and run one last time. See screen shot entitled "last mb run"

9) Disconnect your usb drive. Reboot. Dont touch anything just let it reboot. Voila!!!! It should work! Thats exactly what I did and I have perfect FLAWLESS ML now. YYAYAYAYAYYYYYYY

NOTE:::::::::::::: I DID NOT RUN CHIMERA AT ALL. ZERO CHIMERA. ONLY MUILTIBEAST. NO CHIMERA. CHIMERA BAD.

any specific reason you are using darkwake=0?
I though Z77-DS3H boards were fully compatible with apple power management features!

Also you forgot to attach the screenshots :)

No Unibeast?

are you saying you didn't use unibeast to create the ML USB?

Which DSDT did you use for UserDSDT

Hi!

In your guide you say that you ran Multibeast with the UserDSDT option -- which DSDT.aml file did you use? (UserDSDT expects a DSDT.aml file on the desktop to put into the Extra folder, but there doesn't seem to be one for any Z77 board in the DSDT database.)

Also, you say that you didn't install Chimera -- from my understanding of the Multibeast options, it'll automatically installs Chimera v1.9.2 r1394 when you select UserDSDT or EasyBeast ...

Many thanks!

That is correct. The only thing chimera is doing if you set graphics enabler= yes is injecting automatically the device ID for known GPU's. But because of there are more than one devID for the Intel HD4000 (depends on MB connectors) it is better to inject it manually.

Thanks! Worked for me!

I followed the guide and succeeded.:) Thanks for the Device ID.
To Joncas:
We are running MultiBeast UserDSDT without an aml file. This will install a prev version of Chimera (among other things like creating the Extra folder etc).

The only thing I changed was the second use of MultiBeast for installing Atheros LAN kext. I ran this the first time together with UserDSDT and audio kext.

If you are going to use another graphics card instead of HD4000, remember to delete the Device Prop string from the org.chameleon.Boot.plist file. This caused me some trouble booting a Nvidia GT8800 before I saw Warjack´s previous post.

I´m able to put my Hackintosh to sleep with the mac menu (shuts down cpu fan, spin down disks) and wake it up, but it will not put itself to sleep after the screensaver kicks in?
EDIT:
After removing the Darkwake=0 flag in org.chameleon.Boot.plist, my machine now sleeps like my "real" mac. :thumbup:

Chimera 1.11.0 BAD
Chimera 1.9.2 r1394 GOOD;)

I put the long string for the device in the chameleon file, and then when i rebooted, i see the apple log, and then when it goes to the login page, the graphic on screen is corrupt and cant be read. I have to pull out my HDMI cable and replug it back in, then it shows the 1920x1080 resolution.

If i remove the long string for the device in the chameleon file, and reboot, im back to the low res stuff.

Is any one using a HDMI cable to connect to a HDTV and experiencing this issue?

It seems this black corrupt screen I was getting was it trying to figure out a appropriate resolution to switch to. The fix to this was add to the org.chameleon.boot.plist this setting.

<key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1080x32</string>

I imagine this says to use this resolution by default instead of trying to figure it out.
