Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-M PRO - BIOS 2105
CPU: Ivy Bridge i5-3470
GPU: EVGA GTX650Ti Boost
RAM: 16 GB Kingston DDR3 1600 mhz
HDD: SATA2 160 Gb (my test drive)
DVD: LiteOn iHAS524 B
MONITOR: Samsung 23" LED
PSU: ThermalTake Smart SE 630w
Logitech Wireless Keyboard & Mouse
Using my old Mavericks guide here, I installed Mavericks 10.9 and used Multibeast v6.5.0 with almost the same settings successfully.
Note: my BIOS is patched using the method on my original post for the Mavericks install
I followed the Yosemite installation guide found here and proceeded to the Apple Store where I downloaded successfully the Yosemite upgrade and used Unibeast 5.0.2 to create a bootable USB drive.
With the USB Yosemite installer, I run the installation using -x flag, I wipe out the existing Mavericks partition and created a new one for Yosemite and proceeded with installing Yosemite successfully.
On first boot, I used again the -x flag and when i got in to Yosemite downloaded the Multibeast-Yosemite 7.0.2 utility and run it. Below are screens of my settings and successful installation...
Before rebooting the computer, i edited org.chamelion.Boot.plist and added the following string (in bold red)...
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>kext-dev-mode=1 dart=0</string>
so far, only rebooted twice successfully and still need to fully test the different features of Yosemite.
Thanks to TonyMacx86 site and to all its members who have shared their experiences to make things easier! I hope this simple guide helps!
