Success! 10.8.2 on HP Probook 6460b

UPDATE: Success! 10.8.4 on HP Probook 6460b

UPDATE 09.aug.2013

FRESH INSTALL 10.8.4:

Just installed 10.8.4, as a fresh install, on my wife`s Probook 6460b, using Probook installer 6.1.1 and 2 kexts from MultiBeast.

Do this:
1. Install 10.8.4 as usual with Unibeast, restart. Boot from Unibeast, and choose 10.8.4 partition, not the installer.
2. Use Probook Installer 6.1.1 and install exactly as you would on any 4530s (pretend your installing on a 4530s). Restart.
3. No sound or Ethernet. Use Multibeast and install "VoodooHDA 0.2.7.3" for sound, and "hnak´s AppleIntelE1000e" for ethernet. Restart.
4. Update the machine for the latest updates. Restart.
5. And wow! Working hackintosh!

Everything works except the build in Wifi. Tried to swap the Wifi-card with my working Atheros 9285 from my PB 4530s, but the wifi-card is not recognized/does not work in the 6460b. So I bought D-link dwa-121 mini usb wifi plug, installed drivers, and everything is great! (Only this driver work for dwa-121, tried them all... http://www.mmnt.net/db/0/0/ftp.dlink.it/Products/DWA/DWA-121/Driver/MacOS Use the one for 10.6)

-Tried with the Atheros 9280 mini pcie card, but the bios doesnt recognize it. Probably due to the bios whitelist. Tried Rehabman`s Fanreset.dylib, but still no go.
Update 16.aug 2013: The Atheros 9280 is faulty, doesn`t work in my 4530s either

Many thanks for your post followed your method ... perfectly working Hackintosh (except for wifi dongle on order). I'm guessing the reason the mini pcie wifi card from your other probook didn't work is due to the bios whitelist.

Thanks for your help ... made my life much easier
 
Can you juste detail what boxes did you check in "Probook Installer 6 GM" when saying "installed as I would on my 4530s". My system freezes on reboot when I tried to do this with 10.8.3.

(What is the processor installed on your 6460b?)

the processor i have is the i5 2510. Im also on bios rev f20. Using the presets for that processor in the probook installer I can confirm this works. Also can confirm working displayport adaptor to DVI and Hdmi. Graphics chipset is the HD3000.
