So I plug in the USB and access the boot, but it gets stuck on the grey apple screen. Won't get to the install part were I can open disc utility to format the hard drive. Whats the issue?

These are my specs

Motherboard: Gigabyte H77M-D3H (f9 bios)

Processor: i7-3770

RAM: 16gb kingston

Hard Drive: 1TB Seagate

Firewire: 4-port PCI firewire 400 by vantec

Video Card: On-board

Dileet,

Is your USB-stick connected on a USB3.0 port at the install?
If you connect it to an usb 2.0 port, it should work.

Regards,
Bart

Disable VT-d in BIOS, just VT-d not Intel Virtalisation Technology (VT-x).
