Hi all, I just configured my hackintosh, here you have the specs:

  • Gigabytes GA-P55-UD6 F10 (DSDT customized by tonymacx86)
    INTEL i7 860 2.8 Ghz
    8 GByte 1600
    2x Segate Barracuda 500 GByte
    ASUS NVidia GF 9800GT 1GByte DDR3
    LG DVD-RW SATA

I used iBoot-MultiBeast 2.1.1 to do so.

When I copy some big files from external disks or when I use SuperDuper to clone the boot disk into the other internal disk, sometimes the machine reboot. No error/warning messages in the log.
Such problem doesn't appear if instead of SuperDuper I use DiskUtility to copy the boot disk.

I noticed also that when I shutdown the machine, the operation is almost immediate. It is not like a mac where a while is needed.

All suggestions are welcome.

Is your mobo on the BIOS the your DSDT is meant for?

Not sure I understood your question.
I used customized DSDT version F10 provided by Tonymac.

Did you update your mobo's BIOS to F10?

Assuming you are using a "quality" and not underpowered PSU, I'd test RAM with memtest+, or torture test with Prime95 for several hours...

Good Luck !

The PSU I am using should be good quality: Cooler Master 700W Silent Pro.
I will try memtest and let you know.

But just a curiosity: How long should take an hackintosh to shutdown? My one take approx. one-two seconds.

It depends on many factors. I've never measured, but my rig seems to take a couple of seconds.
