Hey all.

Having some very odd issues with my build that I've never had before. Essentially, my internet does not always connect on boot and I'm forced to restart several times before the internet connects. Here are the specs from system profiler for my ethernet card (it's built in on my MB).

Type: Ethernet Controller
Bus: PCI
Vendor ID: 0x10ec
Device ID: 0x8168
Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x1458
Subsystem ID: 0xe000
Revision ID: 0x0006
Link Width: x1
BSD name: en0
Kext name: RealtekRTL81xx.kext
Location: /System/Library/Extensions/RealtekRTL81xx.kext
Version: 0.0.90

My system version is 10.7.5. Not sure why this started happening, it's only been an issue after moving my system to a new house connected with FiOs. Any ideas? I've checked that no other Realtek kexts are in S/L/E or E/E.

Thanks in advance!

When you don't get internet, do you have access to the local network?
In other words, do you get an IP from your DHCP server, and have you recently changed anything in your network?

And most of all: Are other devices connected to the network having the same problem?

If we can rule these out we know it isn't your network but something to do with the software running on you hackintosh.
