straight to 10.8

i have access to a mac that has 10.8.3. Is it possible to install straight to 10.8 or do i need to start with sl and update to ML. if it helps my board will be gigabyte ga-H77n-wifi and a i5 3750k

The current version of Mountain Lion available to download from the Mac App Store is 10.8.3, so that's what you'd install as of now.

You'll need to start with a retail Snow Leopard install disc like in this video guide:

Unless you have access to a Mac and then you can just purchase Mountain Lion from the Mac App Store.
