After updating this afternoon through the App Store to 10.11.4 from 10.11.3, I have received the stop sign after loading El Capitan through clover Boot screen. My system is running a GTX 760, I5 4690K, gigabyte GA – Z97X – UD7 TH mobo. I have included a verbose mode log photo. Any help is appreciated.

Did you check to see if your Mac model changed in SMBIOS (Clover menu)?

Do you have SIP disabled?

config.plist/RtVariables/CsrActiveConfig=0x67

I went ahead and re-installed 10.11.3 from the bootable usb I created before, but now I am getting a "still waiting on root device" with a prohibited sign :banghead:

I have tried the solutions from the big list too:

  • If you get all garbled text and/or the message "Still waiting for root device" with the prohibited sign:
    • Try the install USB in every single USB port on your case, motherboard, add-on PCI card, USB hub, etc. and see if it gets farther on any of those
    • If you're using a USB3 stick, use a USB2 stick and try all USB ports again
    • Try booting with cpus=1.
  • If you have USB hub or a port replicator, try putting the install USB in there
  • Double-check SMBios selection: MacPro3,1 may be the most reliable in general

Is it possible to do that from the Clover boot screen? From the shell maybe??

disregard comment above....

I see now you just make a bootable clover usb stick
