Hi all! I believe this is my first post here on the forums, but boy have I received a lot of guidance on going all in on my Hackintosh build.
I've been using it for a month or so now after purchasing a RX580 8GB for that native support. It is perfectly stable and edits video wonderfully.
I have however noticed that my SSD read and write speeds are slower than they used to be on Windows, after doing some digging I found that the "Negotiated Link Speed" for both my SSDs are 3 Gigabit. I tried searching online but can't really find guidance on this. I have enabled trim using trimforce. I do know that both the SSDs support 6 Gigabit SATA III and that the motherboard does as well - but performance on OS X seems consistent with SATA II speeds.
System specs:
MSI H81M-P33
i7 4770
16GB 1600MHz
Gigabyte Aorus RX580 8GB
Running 10.14.4
SSDs:
500GB WD Blue (OS Disk)
240GB WD Green (Scratch Disk)
My internal 4TB Seagate HDD is running at 6 Gigabit and performing as expected.
See the screenshots below
Any ideas?
