SSD Drive performing slower than usual.

I have an 120GB SATAIII OCZ VERTEX 3 6gb/s drive. It is supposed to be really fast when it comes to read and write. I just did a test with a disk speed utility and I am only getting around 100mb/s write when the drive is made for 450-550 mb/s read and write. What is going wrong here? I also have a raptor drive that is suffering the same issue. They both are in sata 6gbs ports. Anyone have an idea?

I'm also supposed to be getting 500MB/sec sequential read/write but I'm only getting 250MB/sec read, 90MB/sec write (256K blocks)

I wish I had your numbers! I'm wondering if it's my drive or the motherboard or the OS.

i think it's a "DISK SPEED TEST" problem... try AJA System Test and check again...

I can confirm. Using AJA got me the results I was expecting, whereas Black Magic was reporting much slower performance.
