Hey,

I'm looking for some help here, I got a JBL Spot set and lately the bass has stopped working. So I'm trying to find out what the issue is.
So far I have been able to try the bass loudspeaker itself on another set, and it works, so the problem is on the circuit. But I don't know how to test it! The main board is built with a Philips TDA8947J amplifier. As well the potentiometer seems to work. I hope someone will be able to redirect me somewhere or help me.

Cheers,

Colin González

im assuming this is an active speaker
have u tried to swap the leads on the speaker(drivers)
(note at low volume)u dont want to pop a driver
if u get sound that way u might need to replace the amp ic(tda8947j)
its a 4 channel device
1 channel to tweeter 1 channel to bass
unless there bridging(more power)
u may have a way to use another channel on the ic

Thanks, actually the IC is used this way, two channels for tweeters, left and right, and to channels to bass.
