Hi everyone,
I am an happy owner of a MacBookPro 2,1 (late 2006) which is still alive and kicking.
With the advent of Yosemite it is becoming redundant and I need to keep pace with my main hackintosh machine.
The new Apple line is far from being desirable for what I do and as I never done a hackintosh laptop before I would like some advice to get a machine which would possibly run OOB.
I am maily doing sound and on my spare time some photos.
I would like my machine to have USB, possibly more than one port; possibly Firewire as I still have hard drives and sound recorders with that technology; ethernet and a possible external video port but that is not essential.

What could I consider for my purposes?

Thanks.

Emanuele

The only machines that run OOB are Apple Macs.

Check out the guides forum: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-guides/

And the ProBook forum: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook-yosemite/

No idea on firewire. That's one antiquated technology I'm not familiar with.
