Comments
Followed the iBoot + MultiBeast installation tutorial to a T and didn't run into any problems. At step 3 I did go ahead and use the Sandy Bridge guide to update to 10.6.8 and then ran Multibeast after rebooting.
I didn't select any Network kexts in Multibeast because the added NIC works out of the box (source).
Notes
- DSDT used was F11 (link). However, I later realized my mobo BIOS is F5, but I haven't had any problems...[/*:m:18hmk41l]
- Sleep/wake works.[/*:m:18hmk41l]
- No kernel panics thus far.[/*:m:18hmk41l]
- I have only used the top DVI port on the 6850.[/*:m:18hmk41l]
- The second HDD was for a separate installation of Windows 7. I left it disconnected for the installation of OS X.[/*:m:18hmk41l]
* There were two minor issues with the Antec case:
- The rear exhaust fan has a 3-pin cable too short to reach the motherboard.[/*:m:18hmk41l]
- The mobo does not have a USB 3.0 header port for the front ports.[/*:m:18hmk41l]
However, I sent a quick and simple email to Antec support and they are sending an extension cable and USB 3.0 to 2.0 header adapter for free :]
