I was able to install OSX lion and boot up fine. The only issue I get is when I boot into OSX I get a pop about my optical drive. It shows up as being able to be hot-swappable. I have re-run multibeast with 3rdPartySata enabled and also run Kext utility to repair permissions but still not luck. Any other suggestions? My motherboard is using F10 BIOS

check your bios settings. I remember that there is an option where you enable or disable the differents sata controllers in the mobo where you specify if they can be hot sawped

In the BIOS for my mobo I changed the settings for Native Move to Disabled as it was previously set to Enabled. From the manual it says the following:

Disabled: Allows SATA controller to operate in Legacy IDE mode.

Should I run through multibeast again to make sure the settings got set?

Also as a note for any software updates (itunes, safari, non-osx related) can I just use the software update option?

Now my drive isn't appearing as hot-swappable. Not sure what cause it to show up correctly now but all seems fine for now. Now just need to figure out how to wake-from-sleep ethernet issue.
