Sonnet Allegro FW800 PCI-E Card

Hi,

I have bought a Sonnet Allegro FW 800 PCIe Card and since
The hack seems to boot but the displays stay blue ( Snow leopard)
and White ( M.Lion). Even After removing the FW800 card.
So i need some help if possible.


MY SPECS:
MOBO: GA Z68 XP UD3 - F10
GPU: XFX 6870 (dual fan
RAM: 16 Go
SSD 250 GB: OSX 10.6.8
SSD 240 GB : OSX 10.8.3

FW 800 PCIe Card: SONNET ALLEGRO FW 800 ( 3 ports)


INSTALL PROCESS I FOLLOWED:

- iBoot or Unibeast
- Multibeast DSDT
- Chimera
- GE= YES , Ati Config = Duckweed , ATI ports = 4


First install was made with a Sonnet Allegro FW800 PCI Card ( 3 ports = 2 FW800 + 1 FW 400 )

But the BUS ( the Bandwith) was like FW 400 even if on the FW 800 port.


So I decided to try with a PC-Express Card in order to get a full FW800 bandwith.

I Installed the SONNET FW 800 PCI-Express CARD (3 FW800 ports)

After this the boot goes fine according to the VERBOSE MODE.

But the display stay blue ( No Desktop) and when I try to make it to sleep and wake up again
The Computer won't sleep at all ( only the screen goes black and never wakes up).


So I've REMOVED the SONNET FW 800 PCI-Express CARD

but even then still getting the issue = THE Displays goes blue and no chance to get to the Desktop.


SOLUTIONS I've TRIED:

- I've loaded the Bios Optimized Default settings and reset all the right settings = No change

- Removed the MOBO battery to reset and redo the settings = NO change

- Tried to Boot with iBoot = No change

- GE = NO = no change



I don't understand how a PCI-EPRESS card can change settings and trouble things
even when removed.

Please let me know if you know what's going on and how to solve it.

are there other settings you altered, or drivers you installed for the cards? if so, this may be conflicting with something very important and causing your problem.

Hi,

After a fully working Install I've decided to put in the new FW 800 PciExpress card.

So didn't change anything at all beside the fact to install the Card on the Mobo.

Nothing else.

That's why I'm confused.
