some noob questions

1) how do i monitor my temps ? (what program)
2) my cpu is OC to 4.8 GHz but it says 3.4 in the about this mac , is this normal ?

I'm using freeware called Hardware Monitor (http://www.bresink.com/osx/HardwareMonitor.html)

Try to turn off Intel Turbo Boost, I also had a problem with About This Mac showing showing less than my actual OC.
