I just noticed that on my new system, the SATA controllers show up as "Generic AHCI Controller". Would installing Drivers -> Disk -> Intel Generic AHCI SATA from Multibeast fix this, or would it cause my system to not boot because it's intended for 9-Series, X79, and X99 motherboards?

The latest version of AHCI_Intel_Generic_SATA.kext has support for 200 Series motherboards.

I'll fix the description in the next release.

I installed the kext from Multibeast (9.1.0), but the SATA controllers are still labeled "Generic AHCI Controller".

But I'm a little bit confused - are you saying there's a later version of the kext available than what's in Multibeast? If so, where do I find it?

The version in MultiBeast 9.1 is 0.3 and has 0xa282 for the 200 Series SATA controller device ID.

Can you check the SATA device ID in IOReg?

It's 0xa282 (see attached screen caps), so I don't know what the problem could be.

Try renaming SAT0 to SATA.

Code:
Change SAT0 to SATA
