Hey,

what do i have to do to get my onboard sound working. I only see the Realtec guides but what about this via codec?

I'm new to clover and formely got it working with Multibeast by using a VoodooHDA. How can this be achieved with the VIA codec?

The device is seen in the system specs but not available in the preferences.

I do have sound, since i got an external firewire card but in case that one breaks it would be nice to have the onboard sound working as well.

thx

cool thx, will try and report back!

Did you get your VT2021 working? I'm in the same position - did a clean install with El Cap, and any AppleHDA patches I've found on the forums have only enabled my HDMI audi (comes out my monitor's built-in speakers) and not the back I/O

no, couldn't get it to work sadly.
Now it tried with multibeast, but that is also only activating HDMI outs, but no analog or igital inputs. :/

This Method Work for me.

1.Use clover configurator. Goto Device Tab and Make Audio layout ID 9

2.Put AppleHDA.kext (Attached) on Desktop Run kextbeast Install to System/Library/Extension
3.Reboot. Then Got Your Sound Working
Tested on El Capitan 10.11.6
