[SOLVED] USB flash and hard drives not recognized

I just finished installing Snow Leopard, but I'm at the step where I need to install the combo update along with Multibeast, however they're located on either a flash drive (FAT32), or my Time Machine back up (HTFS), neither of which are being recognized.

I don't understand, since I was able to use the migration assistant to restore from my Time Machine back up, so the hard drive was recognized then, but not now?!

Any ideas? I've tried other USB ports, nothing's working... Disk Utility crashes if I try to run it.

Figured it out.

Time Machine back up screwed things up.

Reinstalled from scratch and skipped restoring from Time Machine. Crappy that I have to reinstall every app, but oh well.. whatever.
