[Solved] USB Amplifier (Sennheiser GSX 1000)

Specs first:
Maximus IX Code
i7 7700k
GTX 1080
Sennheiser GSX1000 + Sennheiser GAME ONE

So when I try to boot to macOS with the Amp connected I get a USB error and it takes ages to boot. It works fine if I load to macOS first and then connect the Amp afterwards.

Any inputs ?

I assume you're on High Sierra?

If you have your AppleUSBAudio.kext from an older Sierra installation, copy that into your High Sierra installation and it should work. Please see here:

Thanks for the reply. But What if I don't have a time machine backup. This is a fresh install.

You can re-download Sierra from the MAS and use Pacifist to extract the needed kext file.

I can confirm the AppleUSBAudio.kext that I took from my MBP's 10.12.6 Sierra worked for my 10.13.1 High sierra hackintosh!
