[Solved] UI Lags after Update

Hi,

maybe someone will be able to help me with this.

I installed High Sierra (clean install) 10.13.4 and then latest (30.103) nvidia drivers. It works kind of fine, but I felt it's a bit laggy sometimes, so I wanted to try that script as well. But after it installed 25.106 (in fact if when I installed any other version except latest one), my GTX960 is not "recognized" in About This Mac I see "Display 5 MB" and resolution is small, glitching etc.

It's my first hackintosh and I hope someone will be able to help me, otherwise everything seem fine so far.
Update or install Lilu and NvidiaGraphicsFixup then install the proper driver for 10.13.4.

I’m on 10.13.4 and I installed the best nvidia drivers according to nvidia_update.sh script. But I have really bad lags and freezes in every situation. Sometimes my bootscreen hangs in loading bar with Apple logo or with a pattern like that. I tried many solutions but nothing changed. I have a Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB

Maybe the 'best' drivers are the ones released for 10.13.4 in combination with latest NvidiaGraphicsFixup. Certainly it will be easier to discover the cause of any problems. Also your X79 hardware will likely see no benefit from installing old drivers with that script, only issues.

I tried with latest drivers but had same issue. Now I have 25.106. I’m trying with different SMBIOS, only for testing, but nothing changed.
Those are pictures about the problem I have. They were taken in different boots.

Here's a script that collects some basic info, could you upload the file it creates on the desktop?

Sure, I will run it tomorrow and will report you back. Thanks

Here is the file you have requested. I run the script with 25.106 installed and I booted without nvidia drivers option in clover because bootscreen always hanged today. Now I try with new drivers

Regarding the use of the old drivers these are certainly not 'the best' drivers to be using on 10.13.4. If issues persist with latest drivers + NvidiaGraphicsFixup 1.2.5/1.2.6 is a thread here containing useful information + several measures (5) that might help with the rendering problems.
