Hi Guys, first of all thank you for your time and comprehension.

I upgraded to a HP ProBook 4540s, Intel Core i5-3210M Ivy Bridge, 8GB RAM Intel HD Graphics 4000. I also have the same machine, it's an i3 @ 2.4Ghz running Mac OS X Sierra with no issues, I've been using it for a while, upgraded from El Capitan and Yosemite.

With my new Laptop, I am trying to install fresh to High Sierra, but I've been having issues.

As always following this guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...book-zbook-using-clover-uefi-hotpatch.232948/

I reached to "Power Management", and I downloaded the ssdtPRGen.sh from https://github.com/Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.sh because my laptop is a Ivy Bridge. after I run the command, this error appears:

./ssdtPRGen.sh: line 7: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'
./ssdtPRGen.sh: line 7: `<!DOCTYPE html>'

This is the third time I install from zero, and also the step before this one, where all the kexts are installed, I restart the laptop, but nothing works as it should (sound, keyboard, etc.) which worked on my other i3 laptop.

I also tried running the ssdtPRGen.sh downloaded from https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.sh/master/ssdtPRGen.sh

With the second one, I do not get any errors, but when I get to the end where I copy the config_4x40s.plist to the /Volumes/EFI/EFI/Clover/ folder as config.plist I restart the laptop, but after the Mac logo disappears, and it supposed to get back and load the login screen, the screen remains black.

I can only get to the login screens and beyond booting from the USB memory.

Thanks again for your support, I really appreciate it!

P.S.
I did search the first error on this forum, and google, but nothing related to a solution I found. :(

You downloaded the wrong thing.
Seems like you're downloading an HTML page instead of the script itself.
Make sure you follow the guide carefully.

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Thank you for your time, I downloaded the file ssdtPRGen.sh from the website and put it into the Probook.git folder and run it from there.
Unfortunately it did not work also, then I decided to reformat the laptop and start all over again. Same thing happened, so I decided to do something orthodox. I have my old Probook i3 running Sierra, so I took the EFI folder from there, and copied into this laptop. Doing that everything appeared working, except the sound, which was solved by running the pre-patch_hda.sh

The Probook guide uses curl to download it.
You should really read the guide carefully.

Thanks for the guide and the advised, but I really do not know what went wrong since I copy/paste the command from the guide.

Anyway, everything works so far!

The guide instructions are correct. You must have made a mistake on your first attempt.
