[SOLVED] Sims 3 Graphic Error / Lion 10.7.3 Users ~ GTX 580

There are many people reporting bugs with the video in Sims 3. I have tweaked the wine settings to get it work. I will show how was my first experience with Sims 3. These screens looks so familiar sure.

Now I will show you what is my experience with the config tweak. I recommend to set up well our Mac. DSDT/SSDT, CUDA and NVIDIA drivers, etc. Okay after edit the config file and change some parameters in my case the trouble was the [Fixed Program] made my screen turn crazy. After try some changes got this.

I am experiencing right now with the latest patch 1.29 for MAC. I give your the way guys. Hope you could get a good experience with it. These are the settings you need to change. The D3DGL. Open with TextEdit.

To replace/edit the original file you need to go this folder/

Volumes/Users/youusername/Library/Preferences/The Sims 3 Preferences

You need to replace the config file with the one I edited. Or open it with TextEdit and edit it yourself. Only the config, leave the config.old only use it if you forget the original settings.

You should show all files because User/Library is an hidden folder. Type in terminal these.

Show All Files

defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES
killall Finder

Restore Hidden Files

defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles NO
killall Finder

Try with 1.29 Patch for MAC

Yeah. With the latest Sims 3 Mac Patch 1.33 the graphics are very improved Aantialiasing + Shaders and I only had to change~ Fixed Program "N"
The performance is not great but can play with good frame rates.

Load OpenGL with these settings~

Tested also with Lion 10.7.4 Update. Fixed Program "N"

Best results with Patch 1.33 for MAC

This worked perfectly!

I opened the config file in my Hidden Library with Text Editor. Then, I changed the settings in the D3DGL according to the picture above, and VIOLA! Perfect Picture!!
