Hi guys,

I'm trying to install Sierra 10.12.6 on a HP8300 Elite SFF.
I'm able to select the USB flash drive.

I'm reaching Clover boot screen.

and I'm choosing Boot Mac OS X from USB.

An Apple logo and then a progress bar appear on the screen.

A few moments after that when the progress bar is somewhat in the middle a STOP sign appears and that's all.

I've executed Boot Mac OS X from USB with the following parameters:

As the result of that the installation starts and stops at this moment:

Then I see this screen:

Any ideas what's causing the problem and how can I repair it to a successful install?

"Still waiting for root device".
When installing this means that your USB flash drive cannot be found.
This is usually because the flash drive is in a USB3 port.
If this is the case move it to a USB2 port, if it is already in a USB2 port move it to another and try again.
Repeat until you have tried all USB ports.
Use a USB2 flash drive.
If it still doesn't work you could try another flash drive.
You might also try enabling Legacy on your USB3 ports in your BIOS settings.
If you only have USB3 ports try with your USB flash drive in a USB2 hub.

Thank you for your quick response P1LGRIM!
USB flash drive was in a front USB port and they all are USB2 I think.
But the flash drive itself was USB3.
I changed it with a USB2 and the install started almost fine.
Unfortunately it took too much time to fill the progress bar - almost 20 minutes - and then just stopped.
I've tried several times but it was the same.
Finally I've started the install in Verbose mode.
That's the result:

So now what?

Shame on me!
I've upgraded the BIOS to v02.99 and setup the BIOS.
But then I've decided to upgrade it v03.04.
And forgot to setup the BIOS again.

However I'm stuck again.
After I've set the BIOS properly and run the installer the result is this:

If I'm reading it correctly the last line says:
"Still waiting for the device"
Why's that?

Thanks again P1LGRIM!

Although there were some difficulties I've managed to install Sierra at last.
There were some very strange moments I could say.
At least two times the Serial Port of my HP8300 switched to Enabled in BIOS in spite of the fact that right before the installation start I've Disabled it.
Very strange.
Also at different points I had to put the USB flash drive into another USB port at least 15 times in the process in order to finish it.
But in the end it worked.
