Hi!

I was running an installation of 10.9.5, where I had a RocketRAID 620 card running without any issue. I just made a fresh installation of Sierra 10.12.6 on a new SSD and by the moment everything is working properly except it's not detecting the card neither the disks. If I boot in the old installation I'm able to see the RAID disks as usual, but not in the Sierra one.

Attach the System report details in the 10.9.5 installation of the card. In the 10.12.6 I see nothing.

Don't know if I missing something to install. I'm looking for "RocketRAID 62X SATA controller Mac" on Google but found nothing useful.

Thanks in advance.

Ok. I uninstalled all the kexts of HighPoint (HighPointIOP.kext and HighPointRR.kext) in the system, and installed the HighPointRR.kext (version 4.0.0) and HighPointIOP.kext of the 10.9 installation. Did some kernel panel so I rebooted in single user mode and verbose. Removed the HighPointIOP.kext because it was useless, and now seems to boot correctly and reading the RAID configuration associated with the RocketRaid 620 controller. Attach some screenshots.

Hello,
Have you updated your OS to 10.13+?
I have a 622 card and =DPCI manager shows below, photo attached. (same as yours??)
"1103, 0622, 1103, 0001, HighPoint Technologies, Inc., RocketRAID 622 2 Port SATA-III Controller"

I use this card's eSATA port, in Windows 7, everything works, in Hackintosh 10.13+ (10.12.6) are like dead or not installed.
Tried different kexts and even mod kext, no luck. (HighPointRR622.kext attached, not working~)

If you are in 10.13+, would you mind sharing your version of kext or direct where to download?
I saw another post direct to version 1.0 or 1.1.x but they all seem very old I have no faith in them.

(additional info: due to this Raid card always takes too much time to load its useless bios in booting , I have flashed the card with non-bootrom bios, I think that may or may not be the cause, whatever, your comment would help! )

Thanks!!

Last seen Jan 24, 2018Ask the wrong guy, he left for sooo long.

But you may want to try this

Please report your luck (it works for me, but not always)
my situation after my last post:

  1. I only use alessandro893's 62X kext ( put them in /L/E, don't forget fix permission using kext utility)
  2. HighPointRR.kext (must be loaded in order the card to work ) and HighPointIOP.kext (not necessary as my test result)
  3. Not 100% work, I found I can't not turn on disk enclosure before booting the mac.
  4. I tear down the buzzer
so I will not hear annoying beeps after I switch disk enclosure off after use!

Finally, plz update your test result for me to better evaluate the case!
