[Solved] Random freeze, mouse still works

So my Hackintosh is randomly freezing, at random events. The rainbow cursor starts wheeling around, I can still click a few things until I get no response from clicks. Which means i can still move the cursor, but clicks are not being registered. Neither do animations like mouse rollover work. Interestingly, when VLC is playing a movie it continues.

I'm on the latest macOS 10.13.4 including the latest security patch, if that helps.

Yesterday I got the same problem out of nowhere. Have you found a solution?

Bug-tracking was pretty hard since I couldn't record any logs. In the end, reinstalling macOS did it for me. Works flawless now.
