Awesome instructions. Worked for ALC898. Thank you.

Will sound after sleep continue working after future OS updates? New to Clover so I was used to fixing sound with Multibeast after OS updates.

Can you detail the instructions you followed for 898 ? I cant make this work at all, I lose sound after sleep. I tried placing total commander in S/L/E as well as Clover/kexts , but same result...

Same here...

Not working for me mobo: h87n-wifi / alc892 / El Capitan

Any solution?

Hey iadmir,

Could you try FIX_WAK in Clover ? Hacks slept for 2 hours and had sound after that. I found it at: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...-el-capitan-install-problems.html#post1112278. Section: Audio not working after sleep/wake

From this: http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/ACPI

FIX_WAK_200000
Adds Return(Package(0)) into method _WAK if absent. This patch eliminates a warning, but we don't know if it affects anything else on a working system.

But I really don't sure that it's right solution. Will inform you again after night sleep.

I don't understand how to make that I never use Clover before El Capitan, any guide how to make that?

Please see this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w85DOc-vpIw.

It's my first installation with clover but it's really clear and more powerful than chimera/chamelion.

Yes, I definitely have sound after sleep with FIX_WAK. But sound disappeared yesterday during working, I've just stoped music and started it in 5 minutes and there was no sound. It independently appeared in 1-2 minutes. And Internal Speakers / Headphones switch doesn't work after this issue. But I think it's a bit another problem.

FIX_WAK not working for me, I also tried ResetHDA tool ( https://github.com/cliffom/appleHDAReset/releases ) but no results, after reset HDA all my output devices missing.

I definitely go back on Yosemite with Chimera it's working without any issues.

Hey laddu, I honestly can't recall the details back from February other than I closely followed Rickmywirry's instructions. I'm now upgrading to El Capitan and I'm finding the solutions to getting sound after sleep are a little different. So far I've got my 1150 all set but haven't upgraded the 898 yet.

What system definition are u using mate?

I solved this exact issue by using Mac Pro 3.1
It works perfectly now.

I was able to get audio back after sleeping by dragging in the unmodified CodecCommander.kext into S/L/E on OS X 10.11.2. This is in combination of using cloverALC. The speakers came back to life immediately after dropping in the kext and authenticating it.

I use Clover, and ALC892

EDIT: This only worked the first time, still looking for a solution.

I'm using El Capitan 10.11.2 with SMBIOS: iMac 14.2 and I installed an Audio Codec ALC892 from Multibeast 8.0.1

For me, At First, It was frustrating:banghead: because I can't find the 1B or whatever on the CodecCommander.xcodeproj. So, What I did was Simple.;)

1. Open CodecCommander.xcodeproj (from EAPD-Codec-Commander-master Folder) with Xcode.
2. Hit command+B and the kext should build successfully.
3. Then go to the Folder EAPD-Codec-Commander-master>build>Products>Release and Drag the CodecCommander.kext to Desktop.
4. Install the CodecCommander.kext to System/Library/Extensions using KextBeast
5. Finally, Mount the system's EFI Partition using Clover Configurator and Go to EFI/Clover, open config.plist with Clover Configurator and change the Boot/Arguments from darkwake to darkwake=8. Done!
6. Restart!

This Solved my Sound Issue from Sleep, even after I put it to Sleep Mode after several times.:headbang:

Thanks to Rickmywirry for posting the Solution here on Tonymacx86 Forums and a Big thanks to Dolnor for EAPD-Codec-Commander.
