Hi awesome community,

I can make it to the installer of Big Sur Open Beta, but when I want to install the beta. I don't see any internal Sata drives in my system. Any idea what is causing this?

you only need HfsPlus.efi and OpenRuntime.efi in drivers folder

you may also need sata-unsupported.kext

Did follow the troubleshooter:
  • ScanPolicy set to 0 to show all drives
  • Have the proper firmware drivers such as HfsPlus(Note ApfsDriverLoader shouldn't be used in 0.5.8)
  • Set SATA Mode: AHCI in BIOS
  • Set UEFI -> APFS to see APFS based drives:
    • EnableJumpstart: YES
    • HideVerbose: YES
    • MinDate: -1
Still the drive won't show up in the installer :/. I use a Corsair MX500, no problems on Catalina.

Same as me, in my case I must disabled storage controller for intel optane on Bios

Well I did disable Intel Rapid Storage already when I select AHCI, but its still not working.

Doesn't work either. Which laptop do you use? I mean, I hope you know I have a XPS9360. Because I got a kernel panic now.

Me too, with the same problem on my Acer e5-574g notebook ... OpenCore ok, 0.61, but without internal units ... Without any answer on Google it can only be a bug of the beta version, let's wait then
