Attempting to get a new Hackintosh online. Everything appears to be working, except for sound. In the sound preference pane, I see “No output devices found”.

OS: Mac OS 10.11.6
Motherboard: ASUS H170M-PLUS
BIOS Version: 3016
Audio (from motherboard box): “Realtek ALC887 8-Channel high definition audio codec”
Processor: Intel i7-7700k
Graphics: Integrated (Using Intel HD530 Graphics Codecs)
RAM: 16GB (2x 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT)

Audio Codec installed with Multibeast. Selected “Realtek ALCxxx > ALC887/888b”.

Here is the result of running the “audio_codecdetect.command” script.
_______________________________

File: audio_codecdetect.command_v2.2

HDMI audio codec(s)
Intel: 0x8086280b

Onboard audio codec
Realtek: 0x10ec0887
Name: Realtek ALC887
Audio ID: 1

Valid audio codec, audio device and Audio ID; audio injection is working

I’m attaching the IOReg Copy, AppleHDA.kext, Console Sound Assertions, DPCI Manager screenshots, Clover Config, and DPCI Manager Boot Log.

I do not currently have anything in my EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched folder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Toleda,

I'm not sure if there is a reason why that would be commented out. It certainly wasn't done intentionally. I uncommented it and restarted but I'm still getting the "No Audio Devices" message.

This worked! THANK YOU!

intel i7 7700, gigabyte H270-gaming 3, ballistic sport ram 16gb no graphics card yet--- my first build and had to wipe High Sierra because I couldn't get it loaded to Sierra. Sierra is up and running I'm posting from it right now. My only problem is audio and my boards audio is (realtek 1220) I've tried through multibeast and it didn't work. what is the step to get audio working

You should start a new thread of your own to request help. Don't tag on to someone else's that is already solved. Thanks.
