I've installed Lion to an external HDD (connected via usb). I ran EasyBeast and restarted, but still can't boot from the LION HDD. I've set the BIOS to boot from Usb devices first, which works with the UniBeast thumb drive every time. But not the HDD.

Could it be that my PC is fussy about what kind of Usb device it will boot from? Perhaps it prefers thumb drives over hard drives.

Is it possible to install LION onto a large-capacity Usb thumb drive?

hey mate

yeah you can i installed mine via a 10GB IDE internal hard Drive

and booted it via my

F8 boot menu

any more help let me know

Re: New LION install onto USB-HDD---refuses to Boot

I used my F10 boot menu at startup like you suggested, and I did see my LION Hdd. So that may be the way to do it.

Thanks for the advice, mate.
