I just finished my first build last night. I turn on the computer and the fans light up and the motherboard goes through the sequence on the small digital display but it slows on A9 then stops on A6. I am hoping I am missing something but the name of the monitor shows when I turn it on so that appears to be working. I tried two different keyboards but when I hold down either delete key nothing happens. Please help I have been without a computer at home for almost 3 weeks.

Here is the build:
Intel Core BX80646I74790K i7-4790K Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz)

For troubleshooting reduce to the minimum configuration :
Motherboard, CPU and RAM.

Remove the graphics card, all but one DIMM of RAM, the hard drive and the wireless card.

Test and if successful you can add the other items back one at a time so that you can determine which part is causing the problem.

Another thing that might be an issue is the BIOS revision of your motherboard.
It looks like they were originally made with version F2 which required an upgrade to F4 for the 4790K.

New Build will not boot

Thank you for the quick reply. I will try that as soon as I get home and post back.

New Build will not boot

I just wanted to post back. I found out that the mother board I had did not support the graphics card I had installed at first. As soon as I removed the graphics card everything booted fine.
