Attempted update via settings in usual manner, seemed to install fine, then rebooted constantly. In verbose, have this kernel panic.

Maybe something to do with CPU patch for non SSE4.2 kext I have installed (and worked fine under 10.14)? Can’t think of anything else.

Any ideas?

Any thoughts folks? Boot gets past Clover no problem, gets to about 70% of usual startup routine then just panics and reboots.
I'm currently working off a cloned hdd, it's slow as... !

Still no luck with this. Tried wiping and reinstalling 10.14, that went fine. Downloaded the combo 10.14.1 from the link on this site, but back to the exact same kernel panic and eternal rebooting heaven.

Please, someone...

Ok, let this be a lesson to y'all...

If you're running a legacy type build like me, or with an older CPU that needs the 10.13 version com.apple.telemetry.plugin file, you need to copy it over again into /System/Library/UserEventPlugins/ after you do the 10.14.1 update.

Up and running again, this is now solved.
