Previous Mavericks build had ethernet up and working but now can't seem to get ethernet/app store to work. Tried removing the networks from Sys Pref and adding them back one by one but still no luck.

Any help would be appreciated..

Correct way to reset network interfaces...

Go into SysPrefs->Network and remove all interfaces, Apply, then remove /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist. Reboot, then add all your network interfaces back, starting with Ethernet.

Wen't to do that but Ethernet is not even showing up now.

Appreciate the help, first time upgrading OS.

Make sure you installed correct drivers for it.

Maybe you have errors in kernel cache...

Rebuild cache:
Code:
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

Gonna try the drivers first then the code. Any easy way to determine which driver is for my system? Intel? Realtek?

You need to know what device you have before installing drivers. Use DPCIManager->PCI List.

Used DPCIManager, got the correct drivers installed. Then deleted my network interfaces and re-added them per your post.

Everything is working great now - ethernet and app store. Thanks a ton!
