Hi everyone
Up until yesterday I was a super happy owner of a perfectly functioning Hackintosh. My detailed build description can be found here:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/success-z170x-ud5-th-i7-6700k-evga-gtx-980-sc-32gb-ddr4.201063/
Since I got myself a Thunderbolt based audio interface I updated my machine last week:
As detailed in my "Update 26" (on my build page), I updated the BIOS from F5 to F21 and successfully activated Thunderbolt. So far, so good.
But here’s what happened next:
My machine started to become noticeably sluggish. Changing tabs in Safari for instance started to sometimes take seconds, even scrolling or opening a new tab started to hang here and there for seconds. Especially little UI animations such as expanding input fields etc. feel super slow now. Changing the size of application windows for example sometimes takes seconds for the UI to redraw.
After performing all the usual measures (observing Activity Monitor, checking the hard disks etc.), I started to dig into Console.app. There I noticed an awful lot of errors, such as:
I googled the heck out of each one of those errors, but couldn’t find out what potentially could be the main cause for my issues.
I also cleared all the caches and rebuilt the prelinked kernel on my actual boot disk, but had no luck with that either.
"fsck -f" tells me that my disk is fine.
I do not have trimforce enabled btw.
Does anyone have an idea of what might be going on here?
Many thanks to all of you in advance for your help!
Best
