Hi guys!

The attached is fresh from today. All I have done is change monitors. Got me a new flashy 2560x1440 screen. Putting back the old one does not seem to have any effect - the error stays the same.

I do use ONE (not the system) of my HFS partitions under windows too for shared storage between OSes. Could I have broken it?

Disconnecting all the hard drives except for the install media does not seem to help.

Grrrrrr from what I gather the directory structure of my boot disk has gone bananas.

/sbin/fsck -fy does not seem to help at all. I'll try Disk Utility from my installation thumb to see if I can First Aid it.

EDIT: Disk Utility failed glamorously at the task!

EDIT:Luckily for me I found an article (which I don't have the link to atm) on the Apple Community page, which lead me to the terminal command:
Code:
/sbin/fsck_hfs -yprd /dev/diskXsY
The guys said "If it fails to not despair! Run it at least 3 times before you give up!"

Sure enough on the second run the disk checked out. First Aid in Disk Utility also checked out! I'm back in business! :)
